Hello friend. Can I l lead you to Jesus Christ? The older I am getting the closer I am to heaven. My days are numbered here, but I know my last breath on this earth will be my first breath in Heaven. Knowing this gives me everlasting joy. How I choose to live my life here determines where I go for eternity, which makes this life very short in comparison. The bible clearly states I will have rest from my labor on this earth, Revelation 14:13, but there will also be work to do, which I’m looking forward to serving God in Heaven, Revelation 22:3. Knowing this gives me joy. Yes, I am a Christian, and I want you to experience this same joy I have being a Christian in this world.

This written work is truly from God and is of God, because His Holy Spirit in me has called me and inspired me to write it. This is all God. Yes, I’ll provide my input and help explain the basics, but everything comes from the Word of God, which is the cornerstone and foundation of everything written here. I am not affiliated with any religious group or sect, nor follow any man-made doctrine. Everything here is Spirit lead. Amen.

How long does it take to become a Christian?
Less than a blink of an eye.
Can I loose my salvation?
No.

Sure, you will have a lot of questions when you make the choice to become a Christian, which is good. If you don’t have any questions then I question if your heart was sincere and honest toward taking this life-saving step wanting salvation through Jesus Christ. Remember, you can’t loose what you don’t have.

Why Christianity, and not choose some other religion or philosophy?

Easy answer. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Calvinism, Mormonism, Coexistence, Atheism, Molinism, Scientology, Jehovah Witnesses, all theologies, intellectualism and all the other religions and groups around the world all give you the desire and point you to a good life to live and reach for, but Christianity is the only way to actually attain this life by placing in you a real life-breathing person, called the Holy Spirit or Helper, that lives in you to guide and help you live a life that is acceptable to God, and provides the guidance and strength to walk the narrow path to “Paradise” for eternity, Luke 23:43. Although at first you may think you can walk this path on your own without the Holy Spirit, the truth will eventually come upon you… you can’t do it, because the flesh is weak. The gift of the Holy Spirit is what separates Christianity from all other beliefs. What makes this even better, this Helper is free at no cost to you. All you have to do is follow the steps below, believe, and be committed with all your heart.

One more fact for you to process…. if you choose not to be a Christian, be lukewarm, compromise, or believe only parts of Christianity, whatever road you choose to walk and believe in this life, you are guaranteed to meet God. Yes! But wait, hold on… the only way to receive God’s approval and enter into Heaven is through your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no other way into Heaven. No! All other roads upon your death will lead you to a temporary holding place called hell, and then soon after meeting God at the Great White Throne Judgment you will be thrown into the “Lake of Fire” for eternity, Revelation 20:11-15. There is no escape. There are no second chances once your heart stops. Think!

CLICK! on the next seven topics to expand, read, and learn the things you need to know in becoming a Christian. The majority of the bible verses are from the New King James Version Bible, which I highly recommend. I also wanted to give you author names and time periods when these verses were inspired by God.

Lets prepare our hearts, turn off the phones, close the doors, and get started.

1. The bible is the final authority.

The bible is God’s word. It’s God’s communication to me. The bible is true, because it says it is true, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth. How can you understand the ways and will of God? Only one way: read the bible. Everything of God is rooted in scripture of the bible. You cannot grow spiritually as a Christian unless you study God’s word. Even Jesus Christ quoted from scripture. Before you read anymore, you must come to terms, understand, and accept the bible is the final authority – infallible. No compromise here, friend. Do you doubt God? Think.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Paul 64 AD)
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:21 (Peter 62-64 AD)
For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 34:16 (Isaiah 740 BC)
Seek and read from the book of the Lord: Not one of these shall be missing; none shall be without her mate. For the mouth of the Lord has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.
I Corinthians 2:12-13 (Paul 53-54 AD)
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
Proverbs 30:5 (Solomon 700 BC)
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those that put their trust in Him.

2. Satan's title deed on Earth.

It’s important for you to understand the realty and truth who is in charge of the earth. Every bone in you will disagree, but it’s true: God passed the title deed of the newly created earth over to Adam in the book of Genesis, but Adam forfeited the deed by disobeying God, eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which was forbidden. Satan in his pride and jealousy took possession of man in the world at that moment forward, causing Adam to forfeit his inheritance. Remember, friend, when you were born you were created in the image of God with the power of choice – free will. Both Adam and you have the choice to obey or disobey God’s commandments. Without this power of choice we’ve been given, we would be “robots” with no freewill, and love would have no meaning.

God loves you so much He gave you a Helper to make the right choices in this world. God in every way will reach out to influence you and change your heart to follow and be like Jesus Christ. Your choices will determine everything on your outcomes in life. Don’t ignore this, friend. The world says God sends people to hell. This is no way true, and is a lie. Hell was never intended for man, but instead was made by God for Satan and the angles that fell from Heaven. Even Jesus Christ witnessed this event, Luke 10:18. Hell is a destination by your own choice. You were born into this world as a child of Satan by the title deed he received, and not a child of God. Satan wants every sinner to go to hell, and die without knowing Jesus or rejecting Jesus.

Romans 6:23 (Paul 57 AD)
For the wages of sin is death…
2 Corinthians 4:4 (Paul 55 AD)
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, would shine on them.
Luke 4:6-8 (Jesus Christ)
And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.'”
1 Peter 5:8 (Peter 62-64 AD)
Be sober, be diligent; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

3. You have a condition. Admit it.

You have a condition in your heart and mind called sin. You were born into it when you came into this world. It’s a disease, and there is no way you can remove it on your own. The only purpose or use of sin is to send you to hell. Nothing more. Many people believe living a good life will cleanse you from sin. Roman Catholics believe you can go to purgatory and pay for your sins. Wrong! There is nothing in the bible whatsoever supporting these claims. Regardless how you feel about sin, you are a slave to it. Only one person that walked on earth was sinless, and that person is your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Are you sinless? Of course not. All it takes is one sin to remove you from the Book of Life. Admit it! Admit you have sinned and are guilty of sin. Therefore, do not ignore your sins and expect God to accept you anyway despite your sins. As a Christina you need to battle your sins, and not compromise with Satan.
Romans 3:23 (Paul 57 AD)
For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God,
Romans 6:20 (Paul 57 AD)
For when you were slaves to sin, you were free in regards to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

4. You are going to hell. Realize it.

Anyone who is a slave to sin (not a Christian) doesn’t understand they’re destined for hell, or they will ignore or deny this fact. This is Satan’s mission to deceive you with your feelings, which is the opposite of putting your faith and trust in biblical text. We are born into this world as children of Satan, and not children of God. Satan wants every sinner to go to hell, and die without knowing Jesus or rejecting Jesus. You need to register and accept the true fact sin has a penalty: eternal damnation.
Romans 6:23A (Paul 57 AD)
For the wages of sin is death…
John 8:44 (Jesus Christ)
“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
2 Corinthians 11:14 (Paul 55 AD)
And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

5. You need a Savior. Accept it.

There is no second chance, friend. There is no grey or middle area in between Heaven or hell. You have only one chance to avoid eternity in the Lake of Fire. Remember hell, in it’s incomprehensible horror and terror, is a temporary area until The Great White Throne of Judgment and the Book of Life is open for God to judge the dead, Revelation 20:11-15. There is nothing man can do on his own to reach Heaven. Finite man uses philosophies, intellectualism, religions, options, feelings, politics, and theologies to reach an infinite God, but all fall short, because none of them offer a Spirit that enters into your body to help, counsel, and empower you to reach heaven. Religion will point out a good path to follow, but only Christianity gives you the Helper in you to walk and complete this narrow path, Matthew 7:13-14. You must come to realize that your good deeds and bad deeds both have wages, and the wage of sin is death, Romans 6:23. Admit the penalty of sin must be paid. Only the red blood of Jesus Christ spilled from His scourge and crucifixion covers the permanent remission of your sins, friend. There cannot be the removal of sins unless there are two things present:
01. Christ’s blood shed.
02. Repentance.
Hebrews 9:22 (Paul 64-69 AD)
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
John 3:27 (John The Baptist)
John replied, ’No one can receive anything unless God gives it from Heaven.
Romans 5:8 (Paul 57 AD)
But God shows His love for us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:10 (John 95-110 AD)
In this love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Propitiation is the act of gaining or regaining the favor or goodwill of someone or something.
John 3:16-17 (Jesus Christ)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
Matthew 26:27-29 (Jesus Christ)
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and give it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

6. Jesus saved you. Believe it.

People that are lost need to accept and believe the death of Jesus Christ, His burial, and His resurrection is necessary for their salvation. Believing this in your heart, confessing this is the only way possible for you to enter into Heaven when your heart stops and you breathe your last breadth. Any religion, belief, church, or group that teaches a different meaning from the Word of God, adds, subtracts, diminishes, compromises, or changes the biblical text is a lie, and will be punished by God, Revelation 22:18-19. Friend, stay away from man-made doctrines, books, theologies, and interpretations, and instead rely 100% on the Holy Spirit to guide you, to teach you, to help you understand, and open your eyes as you read and study God’s Word. Jesus Christ is the only way. Believe without compromise your sins can be removed, remitted, because Jesus died and rose from the dead for you.
Romans 10:9-10 (Paul 57 AD)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 14:6 (Jesus Christ)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 3:5-6 (Jesus Christ)
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.”
Prayer of Salvation

Its time to make a decision, friend. Do you need a Savior, or is your flesh of this world holding you back? Uncomfortable? Undecided? Maybe there is doubt inside you, causing you to hold back. Being born once from your mother’s womb will not save you. You must be born again of the Spirit, John 3:5-6. Pray now. Close your eyes and focus on God and ask him to help you with this life-saving decision. Talk to God. He loves you, and has been waiting for you to become His child. Let do this. Bow your head, close your eyes, and focus on God around you. Make sure you’re sincere about this decision, and not going through an empty motion that is insignificant, and you will forget about tomorrow. Check you heart!

Say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner.
I believe you are the Son of God.
I believe you are my Savior.
I believe you died for my sins.
I believe you rose from the dead.
I believe the blood you shed covers my sins.
I turn from my sins now.
I ask you to come into heart.
Thank you for saving me.
Thank you for loving me.
Amen.
Welcome to the family of God.
Well done. You are now a child of God. We’ll soon see how sincere you were in this decision and prayer, and if you truly meant it. Church pastors always warn people not to expect any fireworks or a bolt of lightening to run through them after saying such a prayer. This is their disclaimer to make sure you are not discouraged after asking Jesus to come into your heart. Truly, taking this step forward to be reborn in Christ is humbling, emotional, and should bring joy inside you. Happiness is nothing but an emotion from a pleasant outward circumstance, but joy comes from the Holy Spirit inside you, which is independent from outward circumstances. You are now a Christian. Relax. Take a break on yourself. Make private time to pray and meet your Savior. Ask Him questions. Ask Him to help you turn away from your past sins. It’s time to walk the narrow path that only a few will make it. Again, stop and breathe. Do not rush to anything, but let the inner peace resonate in you. Be patient. Take a break and come back tomorrow 🙂
The Big Four
When you said your prayer accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your heart with honesty and sincerity, God did four things to you:
1. He planted your seed.
2. He made you a new creation.
3. He washed away your sins.
4. He placed the Holy Spirit in you.
Think about what just happened to you. You have been born twice now, and you will only die once. You are a new creation. You are now a child of God. Nothing can separate you from God. The Holy Spirit in you has sealed your name in the Book of Life. Best of all…. the penalty of death for your sins has been paid for and removed by the blood of Jesus Christ, crucified on the cross for you. If you haven’t prayed yet thanking God for saving you, I strongly recommend doing it now.
Titus 3:3-5 (Apostle Paul, 64-65 AD)
For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (Paul 55 AD)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Ephesians 1:13-14 (Paul 60-62 AD)
In Him you also trusted, after you herd the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were healed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchase possession to the praise of His glory.
The Big Five

God has done an amazing work in making you His child, planting the seed of His Truth from the Word of God in you, which has already started to take root. It’s time to begin your walk on the narrow path, building and feeding yourself the knowledge, wisdom, strength, and understanding of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a new Christian, you need to protect, cultivate, and not neglect this seed, but allow it to take root and grow to Christian maturity bearing fruit in the name of Christ. This is where your honesty and sincerity in becoming a Christian is validated, because Satan goes to work deceptively with every new Believer in Christ, and will go to great lengths to take your seed away from you when you least expect it. Satan knows you’re weak in the flesh and easily tempted. Guard your heart, and be on alert. You are an easy target.

Jesus explained what can happen to your seed in four simple parables: (1) Your seed falls on the path and the birds eat it, which means your seed took no root and Satan snatched it, because you were not focused on Christ but on other things. (2) Your seed fell on rocky ground taking very little root sprouting up to be burned up by the sun, which means your initial enthusiasm did not sink deep enough, and you gave up when life’s hardships, trials, or burdens came upon you. (3) Your seed fell among the thorns and grew up to be later choked by materialism, riches, jealousy, coveting, or worries in your life. (4) Your seed fell on good soil and grew with deep roots by listening to the Word of God, building a strong faith and Christian lifestyle, staying steadfast when life’s problems came knocking at your door. These four parables truly represent four ways of living your life with Christ or without Christ, Matthew 13:18-23.

Now it’s your turn to nurture your seed and build a relationship with your Lord and Savior. Lets talk about five things you need to focus on as a Christian that will help you build a Christian lifestyle that honors and obeys God’s Word, and builds your relationship with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Each of the five will be explained in more detail with verses to help you understand the purpose and origin from the Word of God. CLICK! on the next five topics to expand, read, and how to live, love, and obey as a Christian. Lets get started.

1. Repent from your sins.
2. Learn from the bible.
3. Attend a Christian church.
4. Pray to God.
5. Produce fruit.

1. Repent from your sins.

Repentance is the feeling or expression of sincere regret or remorse about your sin. To repent is to change. Remember you’re a new creation, and you need to strive to leave your past sinful habits behind you. Pray to God for help and strength to repent. Pray again. Pray the Holy Spirit inside you will convict you. Confess to God in prayer, acknowledging what you have done is wrong and you will stop this sin. Yes, this can be challenging and requires more attention and time to overcome, because the will of the flesh is weak, but greater is he who trusts in the Lord. Remember, the Holy Spirit is a person living inside you. He goes where you go. He sees what you see. He hears what you hear. He does what you do. Pray and ask for wisdom and strength to overcome. God is patient. Do not let a sin go unconfessed. Stay steadfast in prayer. Lastly, Satan wants you to get discouraged and give up, because you messed up again. Do not give Satan the victory.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (Ezra 537 BC)
If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, an turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Acts 3:19 (Luke 70-90 AD)
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the pretense of the Lord.
1 John 1:9 (John 95-110 AD)
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 28:13 (Solomon 700 BC)
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Matthew 3:8 (Matthew 85 AD)
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
Matthew 4:17 (Matthew 85 AD)
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
2 Peter 3:9 (Peter 65-68 AD)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
James 4:7-8 (James 62-69 AD)
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

2. Learn from the bible.

Reading the bible has become the easiest way for Satan to discourage and stop people from their Christian Growth. It’s true. Most Christians today, especially new Believers, approach reading their bible in an exhaustive manner that eventually leads them to stop reading altogether.

First, do not spend a ton of money on notebooks, highlighters, pens, cards, notepads, folders, and more for your bible reading. Second, do not purchase the biggest bible you can find where the text size is tiny, and the commentaries and references are greater than the bible text, itself; most churches will provide a new believer a bible or booklet at the moment they repeated the prayer of salvation and accepted Jesus Christ, but pride kicks in fast causing the person to want to get a personal bible, because they don’t want to appear as a newbie to others around them. Third, do not go out and buy a library of commentary books, stories, guides, concordances, wall paintings, refrigerator magnets, bumper stickers, and manuals. Fourth, do not place yourself in multiple bible studies, groups, prayer meetings and more. Fifth, do not join every Christian social media group you can find.

Yes, these are all great things to do, and I endorse it all as you grow as a Christian, but wait… After a short time, all of these things combined will become a heavy piece of luggage for you to carry everyday, every hour, and drag you down, causing you to compromise, removing commitments, become less interested, stop following, and eventually stop everything you had begun on this narrow path. Next, Satan creeps in discouraging you, influencing you to look past everything you’ve started. The flesh is weak, and slowly you become a casual Believer who attends church with a bible you rarely will read on your own; for many new Believers they will stop in their tracks and go back to their old lifestyle feeling the Christian obligation was way too much to carry, or worse… they fall into the trap of living in a lukewarm condition, which spreads like a virus to other family member, friends, and relatives.

Have you forgotten you are not alone? Did God not give you the Holy Spirit to help you? Most new Christians quickly forget the power of the Holy Spirit, nor even understand or know the Holy Spirit is in them. Churches do not talk enough about the Holy Spirit, especially after an alter calling, letting the new Christian leave the church service or gathering without knowing a God’s living Spirit just entered into their body to help, counsel, and empower him or her. Give the Holy Spirit a chance to work in you. Be patient. Reading and hearing from the bible will impact you outwardly, but only the Holy Spirit in you will truly impact your heart and change you.

The bible in big letters is all you need, friend. Read it slowly. Read a few verses a day or every other day that fits your schedule. Do not rush your reading and absorb all the verses at once. Do not clutter and distract yourself with other books, commentaries, and devotions until after you’ve explored the God’s Word on your own. Write a list of questions you have as you begin reading the bible. Pray first before you read a few verses, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand and remember what you’re about to read. Almost every pastor I’ve seen recommends starting in the Book of John. This I agree. The Book of John is a good place to start reading.

Lastly, there are way over 50 different bible paraphrased versions to choose from, making the bible even more complicated. I recommend the New Kings James Version (NKJV) for the best bible translation for it represents the closest original text from the first early English translations over 400 years ago. Also, if you do not like reading or you’re intimidated by the size of the bible and it’s many pages, purchase the bible on DVD, Amazon Link, or download the bible app called YouVersion to your smartphone or mobile device, and listen to the audio version of the bible, YouVersion Link.

Matthew 4:4 (Matthew 85 AD)
But He answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Job 23:12 (Moses 7th-4th c. BC)
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
Psalm 119:130 (King David)
Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
John 8:32 (Jesus Christ)
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Matthew 24:35 (Jesus Christ)
Heaven and Earth will pass way but My words will by no means pass away.
Isaiah 40:8 (Isaiah 740-686 BC)
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.
I Timothy 4:13 (Paul 64-65 AD)
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.

3. Attend a Christian church.

Choosing the right church is extremely important. The church must proclaim, follow and teach the bible 100% with no deviation or compromise. Choose a church not based on the lead pastor, but instead the entire fellowship, and it’s level of activities reaching out to all ages, and daily opportunities leading people to Christ. Never choose a church based on it’s size, but on it’s size of evangelism and outreach to the communities and abroad. You need to ask the question is the Spirit of God alive and at work in this church. The church body needs to be truly Spirit led, working together like a hospital saving the lost. The church needs to be inviting people to accept Christ regularly after church services, studies, and events. The more you read and study the Word of God with the Holy Spirit, the more wisdom, truth, and knowledge you will have to discern between churches, pastors, and their fellowship.

Keeping true to the Word of God, find a church that belongs to no denomination, religion, man-made theology, or sect. You want to find a church that is strictly bible-based and non-denominational. Pray to God, and ask for direction, and doors to open in finding a home church you can trust and grow spiritually in active fellowship.

Matthew 18:20 (Jesus Christ)
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
Luke 4:16 (Luke 85-90 AD)
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.
Acts 2:42 (Luke 70-90 AD)
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Psalm 150:1A (King David)
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary;
Psalm 84:4 (King David)
Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah
1 Timothy 3:15 (Paul 64-65 AD)
If I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.
Acts 16:1-5 (Luke 70-90 AD)
Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek. He was well spoken of by the brethren who were at Lystra and Iconium. Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek. And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem. So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.

4. Pray to God.

Prayer is your calling and cry to God. It’s the only way you can talk to God. God is waiting to hear from you. When you pray, my friend, God listens. Humble your heart in prayer, fall onto your knees in supplication, give Him praise, give Him your burdens, give Him thanksgiving, and give Him the love and respect in your prayer. Jesus spoke a lot about prayer, and warned us to not flower up our prayers for show, which is total hypocrisy and grandstanding. Pray all the time from your heart. Pray! Now… it’s important that you understand that God responds to our prayers in His own time, not on our calendar. Be patient, friend. Call on God, yes!, but do not rush. Sometimes people make the mistake of interpreting God’s patience as ignorance, because God did not take immediate action. No, don’t be fooled! People may misinterpret God’s long suffering as approval. Be careful. God never lacks information; He is all knowing and in control, so never doubt God. Wait on the Lord. Wait! Go about your normal day as best you can, and stay in prayer knowing God is listening. It doesn’t mean you sit under a tree doing nothing. Stay busy, and remain steadfast in prayer. God is very patient and long suffering. He loves you so much and has an abundance of compassion for you. God will answer yes, no, or wait. God’s timing is so different from ours. Never question it. Always remain faithful no matter the outcome. There may be an area in your life that God closes the door. Pray to God asking for confirmation. As a Christian you need to discover God’s will for you, which may very well be a different path you’re presently on. Think about this. This is why prayer is so important and essential in your Christian life. Amen.

Make a prayer list to prayer for specific needs of others you know, and remember do not make your prayers all about yourself, but instead pray for other people, and give 100% adoration to your Savior, Jesus Christ, who with His blood washed away your sins. And confess! Confess your sins when you pray. Prayer is surrendering yourself, giving it all to God. Give your love and thanksgiving to your Maker. He’s waiting to hear from you, friend. Do not be embarrassed when you pray, but instead trust God, and let go of the things in this world that is holding you down from crying out to God with all your energy and tears.

Luke 11:11-13 (Jesus Christ)
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give to the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
Philippians 4:6 (Paul 62 AD)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Matthew 6:6 (Jesus Christ)
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
James 5:16 (James 62-69 AD)
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Matthew 6:5-8 (Jesus Christ)
And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Luke 11:9-10 (Jesus Christ)
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Colossians 4:2 (Paul 62 AD)
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
Luke 18:1-8 (Jesus Christ)
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, “Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ Then the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?
Romans 12:12 (Paul 57 AD)
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (Paul 49-51 AD)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

5. Produce fruit.

When you made the choice to be a Christian, the honesty and sincerity of your heart from this decision will show outwardly by your natural behavior. Your words and action will produce fruit as a witness to the world, and a proclamation to God. It’s all fruit.

Producing fruit has nothing to do with actual gardening or farming. The word “fruit” is used as a metaphor for the work you will do as a direct result from your heart and Christian faith. There is bad fruit: “sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy,” Galatians 5:19-21. There is good fruit: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control,” Galatians 5:22-24.

God is your farmer planting your seed, and He wants you to produce good fruit. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:5. You are the branch that is attached to the vine, Jesus Christ, drawing your life from Him. The goal for you is to have “much fruit,” that is a witness to a lost world of non-believers, and that which glorifies God the Father. What is your purpose in your life? Their is only one simple answer: glorify God. Remember, there is nothing you can do to earn your way to Heaven. Salvation is a gift from God’s grace through the redemptive blood of His begotten son, Jesus Christ. Doing good things comes from the Spirit in you, and your obedience and love for God, and not from own human effort to earn your salvation. Doing good in vain is simply a wasted effort; instead, do everything in the name of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Your love for God through Jesus Christ will show itself in your lifestyle in the home, in the workplace, with friends, with family, and among strangers. Remember you became a new creation, and you have the power of the Holy Spirit in you to help you overcome the flesh. You can do this, friend. Think about this carefully. You can be fruitful in many ways, which begins in the heart with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. What you choose on the inside will project on the outside for everyone to witness, and more importantly to be judged by God.

2 Timothy 3:17 (Paul 64-65 AD)
That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
Galatians 5:22-23 (Paul 48 AD)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Matthew 3:8 (John the Baptist)
Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
John 15:5 (Jesus Christ)
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Colossians 1:10 (Paul 62 AD)
So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Matthew 7:16-20 (Jesus Christ)
You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
1 Timothy 5:8 (Paul 64-65 AD)
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Stay steadfast.

The definition of “steadfast” is: firmly fixed in place, not subject to change, firm in belief, determination, or adherence. The word is made up of two different English words: stead and fast. “Stead” means to place something, and “fast” means to be immovable. When the Bible tells you to be steadfast it’s telling you to stand firmly in place.

Why are you as a Christian called to be steadfast? The answer is simple: you will face storms in your life. God loves you, and He wants nothing more to see you stand firm in the darkest valleys where trials, tribulations, hardship, afflictions, adversity, loss, sadness, pain, persecution, and sorrow will overcome you. Satan wants you to fail, and will go to the greatest lengths to achieve his goal in turning you away from Jesus. Be on alert. Satan is deceptive using the smallest temptations, luring you with a taste, a sound, an image, or a touch. Lets take a look what the bible tells us on being steadfast in the Lord:

Colossians 2:5 (Paul 62 AD)
For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
1 Peter 5:9 (Peter 62-64 AD)
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Hebrews 6:19 (Paul 64-69 AD)
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,
Hebrews 3:14 (Paul 64-69 AD)
For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,
Hebrews 2:2 (Paul 64-69 AD)
For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,
2 Corinthians 1:7 (Paul 55 AD)
And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.
2 Peter 3:17 (Peter 62-64 AD)
You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Daniel 6:26 (Daniel 530 BC)
I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (Paul 53-54 AD)
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:37 (Paul 53-54 AD)
Nevertheless he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so determined in his heart that he will keep his virgin, does well.
Psalm 78:37 (King David)
For their heart was not steadfast with Him, nor were they faithful in His covenant.
Psalm 78:8 (King David)
And may not be like their fathers,a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not [a]set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God.
Job 11:15 (Moses 7th-4th c. BC)
Then surely you could lift up your face without spot; Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear;

my loving parents saw me struggle in school with a speech impediment, shyness, and a feebleness that made me easy prey for bullies. in third grade I was placed in a Christian school in la mirada, california called lindsey school. it was here I asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart in June 1974. since that day I have journeyed through countless trials, deep valleys, high mountains, life-changing paths, and open doors, learning what it means to be a true follower of Christ. I am not religious, but a bible believing Christian. there is nothing i can do to get into heaven except place all of my faith in Jesus Christ as my God, my Savior, and my Friend. Christ paid the penalty for my sins with His death on the Cross, and rose from the grave three days after so my last breadth on this earth will be my first breadth in Heaven. until that day comes, i am here to love and glorify God in my daily walk and lead others to do the same. i am far from perfect in this short life, but I know God's grace is infinite and gives me the hope to finish this race with crowns. Amen.
